Cris Rey
Cristina Rey is a Spanish photographer and creative director working across documentary, fashion, and commercial photography. Primarily shooting on analogue film, her work is guided by a desire to create images that feel honest, intimate, and timeless.
Her work has been developed in collaboration with brands including Dr. Martens, Prada, Wasted Paris, and VIVAIA, and has been featured in publications such as Fuuucking Young, KALTBLUT Magazine, and Arxipelag, as well as other international editorial platforms.
In recent years, she has increasingly focused on documenting places and travel from a personal, human perspective, while continuing to collaborate with fashion and commercial clients through a distinctive artistic approach. Her background in Art History, Heritage, and Visual Media Design informs the way she approaches both people and places.
‘Perhaps nostalgia and a certain melancholy first drew me to analogue photography, but that’s not why I stay. I stay for the waiting, the imperfection, and the occasional panic of not knowing whether I actually got the shot. Film forces me to slow down, trust my intuition, and let things happen. In the end, it makes images feel lived rather than simply observed,which is probably why I keep coming back.”’
