Daniel Näbrig – himmelegg is an analog photographer based in the Allgäu Alps in southern Germany. Growing up between the last analog years and the rise of the digital world, he developed a deep respect for slowness, patience, and intentional seeing.
I photograph to preserve what time tries to erase: the quiet, fragile moments in nature that can’t be repeated and only reveal their truth when patience meets light.
His work is rooted in time spent outdoors—on mountain trails, in changing weather, in the quiet light of early mornings and fading evenings. Daniel shoots exclusively on film, developing and scanning every image by hand. His photography is a practice of presence: a way to slow down, observe, and preserve moments that can’t be repeated—raw, quiet, and honest.
