Delfina Carmona
Photographer and Art Director from Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in Berlin. With a background in theatre and professional photography, she works across visual art and commercial photography, creating carefully constructed scenes and installations. Her practice is rooted in a hands-on approach, where set design, photography and post-production come together as parts of the same creative process.
Her images often unfold within intimate, small-scale worlds made of objects, colour, light and shadow. Self-portraits, reflections and carefully arranged still lifes become tools for exploring the boundary between the familiar and the surreal, resulting in compositions that feel playful, dreamlike and occasionally absurd. Carmona describes her work as an ongoing search for a personal visual language shaped by her relationship with colour, form, light and shadow.
I like creating small worlds that feel real enough to enter, but strange enough to make you question where they came from.
Alongside her personal practice, Carmona has collaborated with a wide range of international brands, artists and creative projects, working in photography, art direction and creative direction. Her distinctive approach has also led to presentations beyond commercial work, including BERLIN VIEWS, a 2024 collaboration between C/O Berlin and visitBerlin that invited her to capture her own perspective on the city.
