Giovanna Bravar
Giovanna is a Spanish visual storyteller, content creator and photographer. She draws on influences from cinema, music and everyday observation to craft imagery that blends emotion and detail in subtle, poetic ways. Her photographs evoke an intimate world — quiet, reflective and deeply personal — where light becomes a language of feeling.
I’m drawn to capturing the same moment, the same light, the same place in time, to witness what changes and what remains. What endures is the essence — and it’s the essence I seek through photography.
There is a gentle analogue sensibility in her images, where texture and imperfection feel intentional. The sea appears as a recurring presence — its shifting moods and forms mirroring the emotional fluidity that defines her visual language. Often she captures landscapes or moments that suggest an endless, melancholic summer, drifting between nostalgia and serenity, revealing the quiet beauty of everyday scenes that might otherwise go unnoticed.
In addition, Bravar has worked beyond still photography: she participated in the Spanish photography-talent show Cam On, where she spoke about the nerves of making the perfect shot and the importance of healthy competition. She has also taken part in campaigns, for example with GoDaddy as ambassador in Spain, using her photographic style to help small businesses improve their visual identity. Her approach emphasises working with what is already there: she is sensitive to surroundings and frames impressions rather than forcing scenes. As she has said, photography is for her “a way to express what I feel in each moment”.
