Jonas Eickhoff
Jonas Eickhoff is a photographer and filmmaker based in Germany, whose work explores photography as a fragile and expressive language. His images focus on subtle moods and emotions, creating a space where atmosphere becomes as important as narrative.
Shaped in part by his experience as a person who stutters, Eickhoff reflects on speech, interruption, and the difficulty of expressing what cannot always be put into words. He translates these experiences into a visual investigation of communication and the structures that shape it.
His practice moves between precision and uncertainty, exploring where language ends and images begin. Through a sensitive and restrained visual approach, Eickhoff questions how stories are constructed, how meaning is communicated, and how much can be expressed beyond words.
