Maxim Naumann
All of Maxim’s work spans the intersection of portraiture and fine art. Whether capturing intimate artist portraits or constructing carefully staged still-life scenes, he moves seamlessly between film and digital formats, imbuing each image with a rich, emotional depth. His photography often explores a spectrum of quiet emotions—calm, melancholy, wonder, and joy—expressed through a visual language that feels both raw and poetic.
In my images, I seek to convey emotion a hush of calm, a touch of melancholy, a sense of wonder, curiosity, and the cloudless joy of summer days.

Visually, Maxim is drawn to cinematic composition and narrative subtlety. Influenced by the aesthetics of film, he crafts atmospheric images that feel suspended in time, inviting viewers into contemplative moments filled with light, shadow, and memory. His storytelling balances precision with feeling, often evoking the timeless essence of a summer’s stillness.

In 2023, Maxim was awarded the Swiss Photo Club Critics’ Choice Award, a recognition of his evocative style and compelling visual storytelling. Since then, his focus has expanded toward scenic compositions and conceptual narratives, showcased in fine art prints, photo books, and exhibitions throughout Europe.

Maxim continues to explore the emotional resonance of photography—translating fleeting sensations into still images that linger.
