For years, Xènia Fuentes has delved into the concept of duality. What unfolds when a single individual occupies both sides of the camera? This individual exposes themselves while simultaneously observing, embodying the roles of both photographer and model.

A dialogue, a connection, emerges between these dual identities. With each captured image, it’s as if one endeavors to unveil the essence of the other, striving to communicate across the divide.
Beginning from an intimate vantage point within photography, and employing self-portraiture and nude as genres, Xènia delves into her immediate surroundings: the home. She captures the subtle shifts in atmosphere that unfold throughout the day and across the seasons.
Using her own body and femininity, she manipulates light, shadows, and colors to craft a unique universe. Through this artistic process, she offers viewers a sense of mystery and emotional resonance
