All of Ziqian Liu’s work consists of self-portraits. Through her photography, she intertwines her body with elements of nature, such as plants and mirror reflections, continually exploring the harmonious balance between humans and the natural world. Visually, she is passionate about crafting serene images characterized by a meticulous sense of order and precision.

Tulips are connected to my arm, plants and humans can be ingeniously integrated into one, and together they roam in the static picture. Photography is my quiet yet wonderful small world and safe haven.

Intentionally, her photographs rarely reveal her face, encouraging viewers to imagine that the body depicted could belong to anyone. This deliberate anonymity invites diverse interpretations, and the varied perspectives from viewers are what Ziqian finds most intriguing and exhilarating about the medium of photography.
